ABOUT US
Bellshill Angus is a family owned and operated beef and grain operation located South of Lougheed, Ab. The operation is composed of a 150 registered Red and Black Angus herd alongside a larger Commercial Angus program.
We currently sell yearling and 2 year old Red and Black bulls directly off the farm by private treaty.
OUR STORY
Bellshill Angus is owned by Darrell and Lorraine Davidson. Operated by themselves and their four kids and families. We have been raising angus cattle for a couple generations but got more involved in the registered purebred end of the cattle business when the kids and their female 4H projects started taking part in the Junior Show circuit. Since then they have been building up the purebred herd focusing on genetics around soundness, longevity and calving ease. All while providing producer, like themselves, an affordable option to high quality bulls .
Further to the bull business they also run a commercial cow herd and do some grain farming.
Functional, Soundness and Affordability
Bulls are very affordable, quiet and genetics are primarily based on calving ease as we initially focused on the heifer bull market. We have since started adding performance sires to tackle the cow bull market as well.
